Music Thursday

April 15, 2010 · Posted in Uncategorized

Alright, for christmas ‘Chelle got me a new iPod, and I’ve been using the hell out of it. Now I’m also a bit of an old skool’r when it comes to music I guess, not much for singles, if I find a song I like, or an artist, I’ll buy a whole album. Then I’ll often listen to albums at a stretch as well, I might also be spoiled by finding folks that know how to put together a good album, but there’s often songs that I find that are more my speed than the ones that hook me in the first place.
So that said, I’m gonna start putting up my top 5 listened to, or realized I’ve listened to, albums from my iPod every week. Starting here. Feel free to suggest things based on what you see or something you’ve found from these.

So here goes… (in no perceived order)

1. Samantha Shelton – Are You Kidding Around?
2. Pearl & The Beard – “Voice In My Throat”
3. The Killers – Day & Age
4. Black Eyed Peas – The E.N.D. “Out Of My Head”
5. David Guetta – One Love

And now Shakira is creeping in so she might make next week.

Till then!

May I suggest pulling out some soundtracks of the 90s? Particularly, I’ve been all over High Fidelity and Empire Records for weeks now! Favorite of the favorites? “Always see your Face” by Love and then “Bright as Yellow” by Innocence Mission.

    Enjoy!

Mmm, I can see a trip in the vault for some of these. When movie music made an okay movie into something so magnificent that you couldn’t not watch it over and over and over. I see some new songs for this week’s list coming.
